Today we are going to show you how to use those (possibly overripe) bananas in your kitchen to make a delicious, quick dessert that you will be indulging in time and time again.

Something awesome about bananas is that they are cheap and readily available all year round. We can find them in practically every supermarket or food store, making this dessert accessible for anyone.

Let's Get Straight into It

For this Banana Pie recipe, you will need the following Ingredients:

  • 5 cups of Whole-wheat Flour

  • 1.5 Cups of Brown Sugar

  • 1 Cup of Oil of Your Choice + 1 TBS. For Greasing the Cake Pan

  • 7 Medium Sized Bananas

  • Cinnamon Powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Mix together the flour, sugar and oil in a bowl.

  3. Grease the cake pan.

  4. Layer half of the flour mixture into the cake pan, pressing it down.

  5. Slice the bananas horizontally into long strips and layer half of them over the pressed flour mixture.

  6. Dash the bananas with cinnamon (add as much as you like).

  7. Then reserve about 5 TBS of the flour mix, and use the rest to layer over the bananas again.

  8. Add the last layer of bananas and top them with cinnamon.

  9. Lastly, add the reserved 5 TBS of flour mix over the bananas and top with more cinnamon.

  10. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for about 25-35 minutes.

  11. Let it cool and enjoy!

Final Notes

Feel free to add whipped cream or ice cream on top, and eat warm if you like. There's no going wrong with this!
